They met during the pandemic, she in Singapore and he in Chicago, through a totally random Instagram message that should have been a one-minute exchange. But chance had other plans.
What began as a coincidence turned into weeks of replies, months of laughter, and a will they/won’t they spark that somehow survived 12 time zones.
It went from “just sending a photo” to checking their phones a little too often. From random memes to conversations that stretched late into the night. From awkward Zoom calls across continents to a connection that felt strangely inevitable.
Their first real date was at her favorite café near Columbia University, sharing chocolate chunk pancakes. What began as pixels on screens soon became long sunset walks across New York, unplanned adventures, and moments that made the distance feel less like an obstacle and more like part of their story.
Their first home together was Chicago, where Adhiraj proposed on a stormy, rainy lakeside afternoon that ended, dramatically and perfectly, with a rainbow and a burst of color across the sky. A little chaos, a little magic, and a moment that felt exactly like them.
